Hiatus #1 Check-In and From the Archives: The One about Ramadan

This week begins the break from all-new, all-different Hatred with an almost normal-length check-in intro stuck onto to a classic from early Hate. The new 'tent can be identified by its lack of audio fidelity. Carl and Catfish share some highs and lows of their week then we hard-shift to The One about Ramadan, originally released June 25, 2018.

Here's the original description (note the improvement on our "like us" paragraph!):
Catfish goes deep on his upcoming month of fasting. Carl tries really hard to not be disrespectful. We learned, we laughed, and we got a little closer. And in the end Catfish likes the some other BS!  @stophatingcast on instas and the tweets. Send your hatemail to stophatingcast@gmail.com

Episode #53, "What else about Ramadan or something?,” is now available for your listening pleasure.  Find it on all of the podcasting apps and things.

Carl got lazy while watching an old episode of Babylon 5* and just copied and pasted the following from the episode he was watching while editing:

An impressive man in medieval armor arrives on the station, claiming to be King Arthur. Is he the genuine hero, sent by the Vorlons? If not, who is he and what are his secrets?

*In his defense, this particular episode of B5 is about guilt and responsibility in the face of making difficult decisions. Metaphors aside, this season of B5 remains one of the best examples of science fiction as allegory for philosophical dilemmas. **

** The producers apologize for the excessive allegorical nonsense that Carl has been allowed to pursue as the one who "gets" to post episodes. In the future Carl's nostalgic streaming behavior will not be allowed to influence episode descriptions.***

***JUST BECAUSE YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE BRILLIANCE OF J MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI'S TREATISE ON THE COLD WAR DOES NOT MEAN YOU GET TO MITIGATE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ROLE OF THIS PARTICULAR NARRATIVE ON OUR CURRENT SOCIO-POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT!!!****

****Uhm, yeah, maybe stop drinking and go to sleep?*****

*****don't (yawn) tell me what to...

Episode #52, "It's Still Too Soon For J-E-L-L-O,” is now available for your listening pleasure.  Find it on all of the podcasting apps and things. If you need help finding an app or thing, check the link in bio.

This week actor, activist, and all-around amazing person, T Loving, joins Carl and Catfish in the studio to ensure that Catfish is fully shamed for his lack of participation in the rest of the world. No, but seriously, there's a pretty natural transition from bitching about the week to an actual strategy for good mental hygiene.

It still lands in the shaming of the Catfish, which is his bread and butter.

And do the boys ever write a check their commitment to bits can't cash. Shout out to the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation!

Episode #51, "Your Laser Blast Shield is Leaking,” is now available for your listening pleasure.  Find it on all of the podcasting apps and things. If you need help finding an app or thing, check the link in bio.

On this week’s ep (that’s technical talk for “episode”), Carl jumps off the high dive and plunges deep into his anxiety. Catfish throws him one of them floaty things (more technical talk) by trying to convince him that his anxiety is groundless by explaining, possibly in too much detail, that there are people far, FAR worse than Carl.

Also, did you know your pupils dilate when you engage in judgmental behavior?  Finally, stick around for lots of plumbing tips and tricks!
